Lights, Cameras, Action!

On Friday after school had been dismissed, my group was set to begin our film. I came late to the meetup spot, much to the dismay of the other members. When we started walking to the film location, my costume shoe fell out of my bag. I had to backtrack in order to find it. I eventually found it and caught up with the crew. We then stopped at the gas station to get snacks and refreshments. After over a half hour of delays, we finally made our way to the site. For the first scene, we were walking together as a group into the park. We set our stuff down by the dip bars. At the start, beginning the first scene was very difficult. We were unorganized and some of the members were fooling around and wandering off. At one point, I was on the brink of desertion. Eventually, we all gathered together and began recording the first scene. It was us walking together in a group. The phone camera used was very high quality and it came out pretty good. It took a few takes, but we managed to find the perfect clip to use for the final video. The next scenes were personal close-up shots of each member of the group. For me, it took several takes to perfect it. I was very picky at first, as I wanted it to match the storyboard, but I eventually realized it was hogging up time so that didn't last very long. Next it was Myles, then Mario. At several points during filming, we couldn't help but crack up sometimes. This was a rough, but productive start to the filming process.
