Wrapping up recording

Image
In total it took about 3 hours to complete the first 12 scenes of the film for my music video. There were many scenes for this initial recording session. We have about a minute and a half of total footage gathered from this first meet. We plan on editing in flashbacks to add to the story. Continuing on from the final scenes of the recording session, we get to the next part. All group members meet up at this rock and we start pretending to sing the song. One scene is us all sitting down. The next shot slowly zooms out to get a wide angle shot. The reason for this is to capture all of us. It once again took several takes. The camera man actually ended up tripping once. It was also quite corny, as some members were smiling and breaking character. The film was supposed to be depressing, so smiles were quite literally frowned upon. Eventually, we chose a take that was good enough and moved on to the final scene. We were all walking as a group like the establishing shot. However, this tim

On Friday after school had been dismissed, my group was set to begin our film. I came late to the meetup spot, much to the dismay of the other members. When we started walking to the film location, my costume shoe fell out of my bag. I had to backtrack in order to find it. I eventually found it and caught up with the crew. We then stopped at the gas station to get snacks and refreshments. After over a half hour of delays, we finally made our way to the site. For the first scene, we were walking together as a group into the park. We set our stuff down by the dip bars. At the start, beginning the first scene was very difficult. We were unorganized and some of the members were fooling around and wandering off. At one point, I was on the brink of desertion. Eventually, we all gathered together and began recording the first scene. It was us walking together in a group. The phone camera used was very high quality and it came out pretty good. It took a few takes, but we managed to find the

The final decision

After two very long discussions between my group, we've finally decided. Finding the right location to film was quite the challenge. It is almost as if we live on four corners of the world, but somehow, we managed to figure something out. At first, we wanted to pick a place by the beach. Only issue is some people live far away from here. The cost of car service would've been very expensive. Due to the poor economy none of us can really afford to do that. I came up with the idea of going to some place in walking distance of the school. Knowing myself, I did regret bringing up this idea. The reason being I am slightly uncomfortable with walking on the streets. Especially with these guys in the kind of neighborhood this is. It would be quite an embarrassing experience. However, this would be the easiest way to execute the project. We all agreed that Friday, tomorrow, we would film the main segment of the music video. The location we chose was the Middle River Terrace Park. It is

Preparations for the shoot

For the music video, many things need to be taken into consideration. The video itself has to be 1 minute and a quarter more or less. We will have to choose the part of the song that will fit in that time range. Due to a lack of resources, we cannot break up the song. The result is us using one long clip of the 2 minute song. Group member Daniel has a good ear for music and could certainly pick the right clip to use in the video. The filming location has not been chosen yet at this time. It will probably be in a public place like by the beach or a park somewhere. All my group members live in different parts of town. Finding a spot in the middle won’t be an easy task. Taking transportation into account, some members don’t have cars. Those that I know of are me and Daniel. Car service will need to be ordered so that will be an expense. For filming, we will use our phones. Someone will have the role of cameraman. Whoever this is, will be chosen in a quick process of figuring out who ha

Planning for my Music Video

Song Title:  Yesterday (by the Beatles, 1965) Props: Props we will be using are most likely going to be old coinage. The reason being were going to try and make it seem like we are in the era of when the song was made. At this time they still used silver coins and wheat pennies so I can use some of mine as props for the video. Just so I can make it that much more accurate and real to make the story come alive. Costumes: Costumes will be dark, probably black jackets and shades. The reason being it is a sad song, and the clothing has to reflect the feelings of the character(s) in the music video. The Beatles themselves also wore black. Perhaps to protect their identity from crazy fans, we’ll need to protect our own identity due to the nature of this music video anyway. Schedule: The time for the meet will be an early evening on the weekday. Ideal conditions are cloudy with no rain. Rain could affect the filming process negatively. And since the music video is supposed to be a little depr

Hello my people! Today I will be referencing three music videos by The Beatles and analyzing them. The first song is A Hard Day's Night. In the music video there are several camera angles. The angles include Wide shots showing the entire band performing. As well as medium shots showing the members upper bodies. The music video also contains close ups, emphasizing the members expressions. For movement, it include shots that zoom in and out. A common shot used in the music video is reaction shots, capturing audience reactions to the performance. The video takes place on a stage in London while performing. The video was performed outside so the lighting was natural. As normally, The Beatles were wearing their classing stylish suits. There is only type of editing which are just cutaways. Since the music is being produced by guitars the sound is diegetic. There is obviously voice over as you can hear their voices while the shots change. And there is the ambient sound of the audience che

Meet the team

In my group, there are four total members. Me, Myles, Mario, and Daniel. These are the four people that sit around me and sometimes help me with my work. I choose to work with them for several reasons. Myles is one of my best and closest friends, I've known him since last year. He is very down to earth and a trustworthy individual who is very easy for me to talk to. Although he may need some help with things, he can surely get the job done if everyone else stays on top of things. I met Mario recently. He is a friend of Myles and I think can work very well with the group. Especially since he knows about the assignments and is a hard worker. Daniel is a very interesting person. I chose to work with him because he can bring some very good ideas to the table and add a little spice to the project. He also has a good taste in music and can ensure the creation of a really good final product. The song we chose is by the Beatles. They make good, short songs that are perfect for this proj

Allow me to introduce myself, again

I am Jayden Capuano, and this is what I've got to tell you about myself. I am 16 years old, and in the Eleventh Grade. I am a Junior currently attending Fort Lauderdale High School, it is like my own little prison with 2,000 other inmates. I enjoy a large variety of hobbies and activities that I do outside of school. These include drawing, swimming, electric trains, etc. I like to draw mechanical things rather than organic things. The reason being it is easier to capture the details of mechanical things since they aren't very fluid. Although a drawing is stationary, you would be able to tell the difference between something organic and something mechanical. I am also used to drawing stuff like trains since as far back as I can remember. I used to live in New York, and I was exposed to a lot of different railroads and the subway. This is probably why I can talk all day about them. In my apartment here, I have a pool. It's a really nice one and I certainly take advantage o
