The final touches

The editing process came to an end just the other day. I spoke with Daniel and he clarified an issue we had with editing. We originally planned the main (base footage) as its own thing. However, the lack of props we planned on having to use caused us to divert from this plan. Myles was not able to bring a guitar to use as a prop. None of us even had a toy guitar to use. The result was the footage we got was stale and didn't entirely match up to the storyboard. The costumes however were good and certainly looked the part. We were able to be distinguished from one another. However, we all were in unison. This is good because the beetles seemed to be like that too in their music videos. Since this was a sadder song, we chose black outfits to symbolize that it wasn't happy. Although, we did have to fix some things while filming and even caught some things we did not initially notice while editing. For instance, smiling. But besides that, everything was fine besides one major thing. We planned on editing in a flashback scene to add to the story. This however would not be possible. The reason being all the clips from the first (main) filming section added up to be 1 minute and 15 seconds after editing which made it too long to add anything else. This will unfortunately make our project a little less interesting. It will also make it more difficult to understand, but I suppose its easier to follow along. Its always better to look at the bright side of things.
