The Editing Experience

Today marked the conclusion of the production phase. Now begins the editing of the footage. Our footage came in several clips and scenes and now needs music to go along with it. Daniel was not able to arrive at location. Therefore, he was entirely missing from the set. He has to do his fair share of contribution, so he will be tasked with editing the film. He will need to add music to the movie, most likely near the start of the film. Sound effects will also need to be added to contribute the effect. The script has slightly changed, as it was impossible to replicate it as it appeared on paper. The result was a less serious product and a slight shift in the genre. Instead of straight up horror it became horror-comedy. Meaning that the movie has some comical elements in it rather than it being entirely scary. This is good because it adds to the entertainment factor but also bad as it subtracts from the atmosphere. It also makes it easier for our editor to add the needed effects. A filter will be needed to distinguish the main camera blog part of the movie from the first scene (introduction to the setting). The footage must also be sifted through and cut to make the video have the correct length, which is two minutes. When all sorted through, it would be time to put everything together in the right order. Perhaps include a location and date at the very beginning. There are many possible ways to go about doing so but the classic black that fades into the movie itself will do just fine. This movie turned out to be very cliche and that makes it much simpler for us to edit it.
