The task at hand

Tomorrow is the last day to be able to film our video. We need to discuss how we are going to create our film tomorrow, and what to bring with us. The props and consumes will be needed. Due to the amount of time spent figuring out a day when we all would be free, both deadlines have been surpassed. Tomorrow is quite literally the last day we are physically able to complete the film as the reviews are to be completed afterwards. This causes a slew of issues for our group. One of which being availability. If a group member isn't available tomorrow, they would need to be excluded from the cast. That will make this much more difficult as we would have to alter the script entirely in order to fill in for that one absence. One member missing means the film would feel much emptier due to lack of characters. The characters in a horror movie are what bring it to life. However, it could potentially bring a feeling of isolation which actually helps develop an atmosphere for the movie. Although we did have thoughts of deviating from the script, this scenario would essentially force us to do so. Also, we would be missing a valuable crew member who would've had the role of cameraman. This makes it harder to film and further contributes to the lack of characters. To compare, if we had four people present at the set, we could include all four characters and could follow the script. As an alternative, we could have three characters and a cameraman to make it somewhat easier and less time consuming to manage. If we have three people present, things start to get more difficult. It is possible to include three total characters, but it would become less believable during rotations and the audience would clearly notice a missing character unless we switch POVs between characters. By doing this, we could possibly create first person POVs of the characters which is a unique way of filming the movie. It is reminiscent of the "found footage" genre, where a discarded VHS tape is found somewhere. With all that, one thing is for certain. We need to get our act together and focus on the task at hand.
