Wrapping up recording

In total it took about 3 hours to complete the first 12 scenes of the film for my music video. There were many scenes for this initial recording session. We have about a minute and a half of total footage gathered from this first meet. We plan on editing in flashbacks to add to the story. Continuing on from the final scenes of the recording session, we get to the next part. All group members meet up at this rock and we start pretending to sing the song. One scene is us all sitting down. The next shot slowly zooms out to get a wide angle shot. The reason for this is to capture all of us. It once again took several takes. The camera man actually ended up tripping once. It was also quite corny, as some members were smiling and breaking character. The film was supposed to be depressing, so smiles were quite literally frowned upon. Eventually, we chose a take that was good enough and moved on to the final scene. We were all walking as a group like the establishing shot. However, this time we were pretending to sing the song together. There were a couple of spectators from some very nearby apartments which was funny. The camera man's grin made me laugh at least once. We got 2 angles of this shot and we plan to somehow combine them in the final, published music video. After this, we all slowly left the set. Group member Myles offered me a ride home and I gratefully accepted it, and we were all very happy that was finally over. Of course, we still have much to do and additional scenes to film, so it won't be over until it's over.
